1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of IdeoQuiz ("we"), operator of IdeoQuiz. By using the service you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. What the service is
IdeoQuiz provides a free political ideology test, results, explanatory content and an optional paid AI-generated report. The service is educational. It describes political views and traditions. It does not provide voting advice, legal, psychological or professional advice, and it does not assess anyone's character, loyalty or suitability for anything.
We are independent and not affiliated with any political party, campaign, government, or with "The Political Compass" or any other test. Third-party names are used only to describe and compare.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to save results or buy a report. If you are buying, you must be able to enter a binding contract where you live.
4. Your use
You agree to follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you won't use results to label, profile, harass or discriminate against anyone, you won't use the service for campaigning, and you won't scrape or automate the service.
5. Content and intellectual property
Our questions, scoring, explanations, design and reports are protected by copyright and other rights. You may share your own result and personal report for non-commercial purposes, with attribution and with the "AI-generated" label intact where applicable. You may quote short extracts of our pages with a link. You may not copy the question bank or republish pages in bulk.
Feedback you send may be used to improve the service without payment to you.
6. The optional report
- What you get: a one-time digital report generated by AI from your answers and our published knowledge base, delivered on the result page and, if you ask, by email. Products and prices are shown before checkout. Current products: Deep Report; Compare Report (two people, both must consent); Complete (both).
- AI-generated content: reports are labelled as AI-generated and are automatically moderated. They may contain errors. They will not mention living politicians, current parties, candidates or elections.
- Delivery: usually within minutes. If moderation holds a report, we'll review it within 72 hours or refund you.
- Compare reports: both people must take the test and actively agree to the comparison. Either person can withdraw before generation.
7. Payments
Payments are processed by Waffo, our merchant of record and the seller of record for your purchase. Waffo handles payment, sales tax/VAT and invoicing, and its name appears on your statement. Waffo's own terms also apply to the payment.
8. Refunds
- You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@ideoquiz.com or through Waffo's customer portal.
- If a report fails to generate, is held by moderation and not released within 72 hours, or contains a factual error about our own published content that we can't correct, we'll refund in full.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method. Orders under an open chargeback can't also be refunded.
- Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law where you live. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you agree at checkout that the report is delivered immediately and acknowledge that your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content ends once delivery begins; our voluntary 14-day refund policy above still applies.
A voluntary refund incurs a $1 refund processing fee; original transaction fees are not returned. Service-failure refunds described above are made in full. Mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
9. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We'll keep purchased reports accessible for at least 12 months, or give you a way to download them.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". Results depend on your answers and our model, which is a simplification; we don't guarantee that any result is accurate or complete. Don't rely on the service for decisions about yourself or others.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Termination
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the AUP. You can stop using the service at any time and delete saved results.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of residence, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live. Contact us first at support@ideoquiz.com; we'll try to resolve any issue informally.
14. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties, including Waffo (payments, as merchant of record), Cloudflare (hosting) and an AI model provider. Their own terms apply to their services, and we're not responsible for their acts.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate us for losses caused by your breach of these terms or the AUP.
16. General
If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the AUP are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. We may transfer this agreement to a successor operating the service; you may not transfer it without our consent. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver.
17. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version with its date, and we'll highlight significant changes on the site. If you keep using the service after a change, the updated terms apply.
